I lucked out and talked to them for the top 5 right before they released this so I've got enough written abou them for a whole page
In the beginning of august, #FF85F7 released I Still Love You, a 6 track EP released over the course of a week or two. It's a great release that i really enjoyed listening to. I'm a big fan of them so i have to review this. This album has one of my favorite tracks by them, rather be dead than live this life.
Tagged as Cybertrance, this album features a mix of breaks and sextrance that's pulled off masterfully well and the whole led by driving melodies that span octaves, and the gating used on the chords throughout is sublime.
This track is a stunning example of #FF85F7's intricate melody style aforementioned above. being a song aobut someone very special to them, it carries intense energy throughout the entire song. Speaking about the track, they said "it encapsulates the purest form of my soul and still gives me butterflies to this day".
this is one of my personal top 5 of #FF85F7's tracks and one of theirs as well. it has a nice melody with a good weight to it and the way the melody travels is so pleasing; i love how it ping-pongs from high to low notes so much :3 . The artist agrees, too, stating "[it is] another very special song and I think it’s one of my best mixes by far", continuing to mention how they particularly love how bouncy it is and how soulful the melody is. I agree. 100%
this track FUCKS. Hard stop. Intricate melodies. Fast. Bouncy. This song is like a power drill. i love it. #FF85F7 loves it too because they listed it as their #3 favorite song they've written, saying "it was rough to get the mix right ... I could spend years on the track"
Mixing it up with a breakcore track this time, Downpour is of the icy-lyquidy kind. Written during a rough spot to relieve negative energy on rainy days in nyc, they mention the the tracks sentimental nature. The breaks are clear and crisp, with a cool-feeling melody carrying the song through.
KICKED IN THE HEAD KICKED IN THE HEAD I FELT KICKED IN THE EHAD WHEN I FIRST HEARD THIS. i fucking love this song and i'm so glad this is one of the songs that got picked. Cited as their "step back into music' after their hiatus form music was over, it became a conduit for both good and bad emotions for them and it's felt when you listen. Also it features ctrlfr33k
