IMAGI is just a buzz word for a 48x24 pixel png that you upload. The server stores it away and links it to your name so that when you post, your IMAGI shows next to your name. You can only have one and uploading a new one replaces the old one. Loading new ones in is kind of slow so you might need to refresh a bit. i plan to fix that eventually :p
In order to make one, open paint, or whatever image editing application you prefer, make a new jpeg that is 48 pixels wide, and 24 pixels tall, then click the browse button in the IMAGI control panel and once you have it selected, click upload!
There is a bug where the confirmation doesnt go away, im working on it. refreshing or coming back on a new tab fixes it tho!
